Grace Kids Company Check-in Procedure
Grace Families
Please pick up a Grace Kids Card at the Children’s Welcome Center between the staircases in Town Square. Once you have a card, you will use it each weekend at a check-in kiosk by scanning it, clicking the children who will be attending GKC, and printing off a sticker with the name, number, and room of each child, along with matching numbered parent stickers. In order to enter our secured hallways for infants through first graders, you will need to show your parent stickers to drop off and pick up your children. Elementary children from 2nd through 5th grade may go straight to their room once you have given them their stickers.
The numbers on the stickers are what will be used on our LED displays in our services to contact you if we need you to come to your children for any reason.
Grace Visitors
Please come to the Children’s Welcome Center between the staircases in Town Square. A member of our courtesy team will assist you with check-in. You will be given a sticker for each child visiting, and a matching parent sticker. You will need to escort your infant-1st grader to their rooms, and show your sticker to enter the hallway. You will need to show your sticker to pick up your children, as well. This ensures your children’s safety while you are apart. The number on your sticker is also what will be used on our LED displays in our services to contact you if we need you to come to your children for any reason.
If your children are 2nd grade or older, you may escort them to their rooms, or they may go on their own. You may designate a place to meet them, at the room or elsewhere after service over.
Little One’s Way
Our infant/toddler ministry serves our youngest children through their years of rapid growth and change by providing safe, age-specific environments that offer creative play, connection with the shepherds, and Bible-centered worship and teaching.
Upon arrival there are some important things to remember to make your child’s time with us enjoyable and safe:
- Your child’s nametag sticker should be attached to his back and easily seen by staff.
- Your parent sticker should easily be seen by the safety team.
- Your child’s name should be on his diaper bag, bottle, pacifier, sippy cup, snack container, etc. We have tape in the room, if needed.
- Please make the Children’s Welcome Center and the room volunteer aware of any allergies.
In order to ensure the healthiest environment for all GKC children, we cannot admit your child if he is ill with a cold, has had more than a clear nasal drainage, or had a fever within 24 hours,
In case of emergency:
An LED display is located in all auditoriums as well as some meeting rooms. If your child is in urgent need, your sticker number will appear on the display. When you see the number displayed on the LED, please go to your child’s room immediately.
Preschool Lane, K/1 Crossing, Zone 23, and 45th Street
The journey takes on new and adventurous steps as children advance to the upper level of our building. Children gather in large rooms for worship, prayer, and creative Bible teaching. For more personal, in-depth interaction with their shepherds and peers, children are assigned to “small” groups. Small group activities include Bible reading, crafts, games, application, sharing personal experiences, and praying.
Preschool Lane and K/1 Crossing Arrival: Once you receive a nametag sticker at the children’s welcome center, you may enter the hallway. Check in with the greeter outside the appropriate room. Children must be four years old and potty trained to be eligible for the Preschool Lane room.
Dismissal: Your child will wait in the room until you arrive. Please enter the room and help your child gather his things. You will need to show your matching sticker to the door attendant in order for your child to be released.
Zone 23 and 45th Street Arrival: Your child will need a nametag sticker from the children’s welcome center, and then may proceed to the greeter outside the appropriate age level room.
Dismissal: Children are released to meet you at a pre-designated place, or you are welcome to come to the room.
Mercy Place
Special Friends is a disability ministry for children from birth to fifth grade. The specialized classroom is offered at 11:00 a.m. on Sundays in Room 215 of the east elementary hallway. Mercy Place is designed to give children with disabilities, who are unable to attend their age level GKC programming, the opportunity to meet Jesus in an environment that meets their needs.
One-on-one buddies are available for children who are able to mainstream into a typical GKC room.
