Taking Pictures that Tell a Story
Barry Rodriguez will be presenting on the subject of taking ‘Pictures that Tell a Story’ and will include information about the equipment he carries and why he chose it and will also talk about things like composition for impact, subject matter (people, objects, landscape, etc.), foreground, background, and perspective. He’ll also be talking specifically about taking pictures of children, since this is an area of specialization for him.
Barry Rodriguez is the Director of World Next Door (www.worldnextdoor.org). In this role, he travels the world participating in local ministries and writing about his observations. His articles convey the heart & soul, the silent dignity, and the endless hope of those most in need and least able to do anything about that need. Ultimately, he finds the opportunity and hope in even the most desperate circumstance. As heart touching as his articles are, his pictures evoke emotion and tell a story that is at least equal to the article.
Back in November, Barry did an abbreviated version of this workshop – let me assure you, this one should not be missed.
This free workshop is being coordinated by the Grace Volunteer Photographers (GraceVPs) Ministry Team. It is open to anyone that might wish to attend.
