Urban Ministry Internships with Shepherd CommunityShepherd Community Center is a compassionate ministry on the near-eastside of Indianapolis that cultivates healthier children, stronger families and a safer neighborhood. Their mission is to break the cycle of poverty in the second generation by becoming part of both parents’ and children’s lives. Shepherd offers paid summer internships working with their senior high ministry, junior high ministry and children's summer day camp. They also offer a full year internship opportunity. |

World Next Door InternshipsWorld Next Door uses thought provoking, entertaining, and heart-breaking journalism in an online magazine format to capture global realities of injustice for a suburban audience. They do this by embedding journalists in ministries and locations around the world where social injustices are being challenged by agents of the Kingdom of God. By writing and photographing stories, realities, and conflicts from these "hot spots", they hope to connect these issues to the every day lives of readers. They are accepting applications for young adults to spend 2-3 months in an immersive cultural experience abroad where they will embed with local organizations and ministries in the country, live with host families, eat local foods, and write as journalists for the organization's online magazine.
