  • Penelakut Island, British Columbia (ACCESS): July 7-17, 2013

    Penelakut Island Archery

    This trip is sponsored by ACCESS and intended for college students and young adults only.

    Missionaries Tim & Julie Christensen and Native believers are working to reconcile First Nations people to Christ and His followers after years of injustice and intentional marginalization often by what seemed to be the Church. This trip offers the opportunity to build relationships with First Nations people to reinforce the goodwill and love that local missionaries extend to them the rest of the year which is a crucial part of the reconciliation process. Among other opportunities, the team will be assisting First Nations leaders in hosting a summer day camp for native school children and teens.

    Cost: $1,675

  • Toronto, Canada (ACCESS): July 11-15, 2013 or July 18-22, 2013

    Toronto

    Toronto is recognized as one of the world’s most culturally diverse cities filled with a great array of stories of people in all stages and circumstances of life. Join with other individuals to experience faith and life formation through a variety of formal and informal city moments. The group’s days and nights will be filled with purposeful interaction with the city and its people. This will be done by strolling the streets, listening to new and old sounds, dialoguing with friends, sharing moments of grace and worship, seeing the face of Jesus in a little child or a homeless man -- and seeking to be the face of Jesus to each person encountered.

    New York City Relief Bus

    This six day trip will be spent serving on the New York City Relief Bus that serves the poorest neighborhoods in metro New York City. This ministry brings food and hope to the poor and homeless on the streets, while also connecting them to job training, drug rehab and housing. This is an amazing opportunity for anyone ready to jump in to social justice issues.

  • New York City: February 19-24, 2013 - TRIP FULL

    new-york-city-relief-bus-2011 - New York City Relief BusThis six day trip will be spent working with New York City Relief’s food delivery bus ministry that serves the poorest neighborhoods in metro New York City. The bus ministry brings emergency food to the hungry and homeless on the streets, while also connecting them to job training, drug rehab, housing, and food. The team will also help with the Don’t Walk By campaign which mobilizes volunteers to encourage people living on the streets to head to shelters to escape the winter elements. This is a great starter trip for someone ready to jump in to social justice issues.

  • Chichicastenango, Guatemala: March 30-April 6, 2013 - TRIP FULL

    Outreach_Guatemala April 2009Partner with missionaries Matt and Leslie Capehart with Missions Frontier by building relationships with the people of Chichicastenango. Medical professionals are needed to help provide healthcare (general medical, pharmaceutical) to rural clinics in the Quiche region. Another team will work on construction projects like building houses, installing plumbing facilities, painting and general improvements. Connecting with the local people in both of these settings will be a priority for each team. A shoe ministry may also be part of this project. Teams will minister to children by washing their feet and fitting them with new shoes and socks.

    This trip is family friendly for children 10+.

    Cost: $2,300.

  • Chambrun, Haiti: May 16-22, 2013 - TRIP FULL

    Kaci with Haitian ChildrenPartner with Nehemiah Vision Ministries (NVM) to
    provide compassion to the people of Haiti devastated by the 2010 earthquake. Potential projects include:

    • Providing medical care through NVM's medical clinic and IDP camps (medical professionals needed).
    • Doing construction work in the community and NVM’s campus.

    Please note that final projects will be confirmed closer to travel and depend on the make-up of each team.

    Individuals must be entering high school or older to participate.

    Cost: $1,500

  • Nairobi, Kenya: June 6-17, 2013 - TRIP FULL

    NEGST Computer LabServe with Nairobi Chapel providing Medical clinics through Tumini. Health care professionals i.e. doctor (including need for Ob/Gyn physician), dentist, nurse, and pharmacist are needed.

    Also needed are team members with experience in financial management of outpatient clinics and in the IT areas of web design, website set up, and database management.

    The team will spend time building relationships with families at Nairobi Chapel, provide consultative support, and deliver health care through urban medical outreach clinics.

    Cost: $2700

  • La Entrada, Honduras: June 7-14, 2013 - TRIP FULL

    LaEntrada, Honduras Orphanage Boys

    Partner with Tree of Life as they prepare to open a new orphanage for Kindergarten through 6th graders in order to educate, disciple, and teach them practical life skills which are essential to children when they age out of the orphanage system. The team will assist with work projects such as painting, construction, and computer set-up at Tree of Life’s 7-12th grade school called Plan Escalon and assist students at the school in passing out food and supplies in one of the remote villages of Honduras. This trip is done in partnership with Hands of Hope Adoption and Orphan Care Ministry.

    This trip is family friendly for children 14+.

    Cost: $1,350

    This is a Hands of Hope Adoption and Orphan Care Ministry sponsored trip. This trip requires a $150 trip application deposit. Checks are to be made payable to: Hands of Hope Adoption and Orphan Care Ministry.

  • Chichicastenango, Guatemala: June 8-15, 2013 - TRIP FULL

    Outreach_Guatemala April 2009Partner with missionaries Matt and Leslie Capehart with Missions Frontier by building relationships with the people of Chichicastenango. Other team members will provide help with the construction of chicken coops, training in raising chickens and education on running a small business. A team of students and adults will conduct a VBS style Bible camp for children and families. Connecting with the local people in all of these settings will be a priority for each team.

  • Cambodia: June 15-28, 2013 - TRIP FULL

    outreach_cgi_daughters_sewingThis trip partners with the Center for Global Impact, a faith-based relief and development organization, and is designed to creatively connect with the people with the ultimate goal of opening doors to share the Good News of Jesus Christ.

    This team will learn about desperate poverty, human trafficking and genocide in Cambodia. The trip will take participants in to three Cambodian cities to learn about the culture, visit slum neighborhoods and local homes. A visit to the Enzo Tina orphanage, a residential home for girls and three of the Center for Global Impact vocational programs: The Culinary Training Center, CGI Daughters, and the byTavi Workshop where you will spend time with the girls and women who are part of vocational training programs.

  • San Salvador, El Salvador: June 15-22, 2013 - TRIP FULL

    El Salvador

    Spend time at Exodo, a Christian orphanage where the focus is on restoring children by providing them a safe environment where they can go to school, receive psychological counseling (if needed), learn about God, and be loved by house parents. One portion of the team will be doing maintenance projects for the orphanage such as painting, landscaping, and remodeling while the other portion will be hosting a Vacation Bible School that includes facilitating crafts, Bible teaching, games, and worship. This trip is done in partnership with Hands of Hope Adoption and Orphan Care Ministry.

    This trip is family friendly for children 10+.

    Cost: $1,850.

  • Zhitomir, Ukraine: July 5-17, 2013 - TRIP FULL

    UkrainePartner with the staff of Mission to Ukraine (MTU) to provide a camp experience for children with disabilities and their families. The camp includes creative worship and Bible teaching, small group interaction, crafts, and games. Disabled children have been unwanted and isolated in Ukrainian society for many years. MTU is attempting to reverse this trend by operating a comprehensive program for the disabled that includes physical play as well as occupational therapy in addition to medical assistance, spiritual and academic mentoring, and the summer camp program.

    This trip is family friendly for children 12+.

  • Cartagena, Colombia: July 13-20, 2013 - TRIP FULL

    Colombia-July-2012-188 - Colombia-July-2012In partnership with Bridges of Hope International, serve the impoverished refugee population through partnerships with local churches and organizations. Trip participants will engage in a holistic approach to alleviating poverty by serving at several projects each day including an eye glass clinic in one of the poorest areas of Colombia, building a house for a local family, visiting a children’s hospital, conducting food distributions, and helping with outreach events for the elderly, gang members, and prisoners.

    Cost: $2095

    This is a Bridges of Hope International sponsored trip. This trip requires a $150 trip application deposit. Checks are to be made payable to: Bridges of Hope International.

  • Tokyo, Japan: July 26 - August 5, 2013 - TRIP FULL

    japan-english-campPartner with Kurume Christ Church to reach out to the village of Higashi Kurume by putting on an English day camp for Japanese children in grades 1-5 using stories from the Bible. This camp serves as a way to connect families to the church and introduce them to Jesus for the first time. Helping with camp involves building sets, writing and performing skits, leading musical worship, and developing and teaching curriculum. Lead worship at the Grace Coffee Hour a weekly outreach activity of Kurume Christ Church that helps build relationships with the local community. Evenings are spent visiting house churches, in Bible studies, and with families in the church for times of focused prayer.

    Cost: $2,700
